The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it won't reveal information about increases in costs for using its plantations until later this month.
A Freedom of Information request to the department asked about the increased charges and the data used to justify any price hikes.
However, the department says although it's discussed increasing charges, the information won't be released early.
It says it plans to announce the price rises by the end of this month.
