Dental Treatment Price Hikes Enforced From 1st September

Cost for Dental Treatments Set to Rise From September

The Department of Health are reminding the public about looming dental treatment price hikes.

The cost increases are the result of a recent review, the last one being in 2006.

Prescription charges will increase from £3.25 to £3.85 per item dispensed.

Band one treatments, which cover less serious problems have seen a one pound increase.

Band 2, which covers fillings and root canal treatments, has increased to £45.60.

Crowns, bridges and dentures have gone upto just shy of £200.

The changes will come into effect from 1st September.
