An island charity says it asked the Department of Health and Social Care about building a chemotherapy unit at Noble's Hospital.
This week, a Freedom of Information query to the Department of Health and Social Care asked why Hospice Isle of Man had been turned down - the department said the organisation hadn't asked it and so it hadn't refused.
Now, however, the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group says it asked for the unit in the middle of last year to save patients travelling to the UK.
However, the department turned down its proposal.
