Department of Infrastructure make financial pledge to Hyperbaric Chamber

The Department of Infrastructure have announced that they have signed a three-year agreement to support the Hyperbaric Chamber.

The contract will see emergency treatment facilities and medical support given to the Department’s 7-strong dive team, in return the Department is supporting the Chamber’s operational costs with a £12,000 annual donation.

They will also offer technical support, materials and labour up to a value of £3,000 per year.

The agreement also means that the department’s dive team have access to the Chambers in both Ireland and the UK in the event that the Island’s facility was not available in an emergency situation.
