The Department of Health and Social Care says it can't say how much refugees sent here by the UK government cost the Manx taxpayer - because the information doesn't exist.
A Freedom of Information request asked how much the Island pays to give asylum seekers housing, education, driving lessons and spending money.
In its response, the department says it doesn't hold any such information, but suggested asking the Treasury for more details.
Previous FOI requests have revealed no refugees or asylum seekers are sent to the Isle of Man by the UK.
