A digital form of I.D will now be accepted when purchasing alcohol on Island.
Digital Connect I.D has been approved as a legitimate form of identification, which carries the same verification has a passport, driving licence, or proof of age card.
It's being marketed as a more convenient alternative to carrying these forms of I.D, which when lost on a night out can cause logistical and expensive problems for the individual.
It's a collaboration between Digital Connect, YOTI, Lloyds Bank and the UK Post Office.
The rollout has already begun on Island.
