Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says discussions are still taking place to help those without bank accounts when benefits and pension payments go electronic next year.
The current MiCard system will be scrapped from the end of December as the government tries to save half a million pounds a year.
In Tynwald this week, Dr Allinson was quizzed by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about how those without bank accounts will be paid in future.
The minister said with six weeks to go, no definite plans were in place yet:
