    Dog saved from Port Erin fire

    Emergency services saved the life of a dog as they dealt with a house fire in Port Erin this week.

    Firefighters were at the scene on Grammah Avenue just after 9.10pm on Thursday - to reports the occupant had been evacuated by a neighbour but the animal was still missing.

    The canine was found and revived by crews after being removed from the building - the occupier was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics.

    Officers say the fire was located in the living room of the property but the cause of it is under investigation.
