Dog owners will still be allowed to walk their pets on Peel beach, according to commissioners in the town.
The authority has made the decision following comments from local residents about dog walking in the area which was originally going to be suspended from Wednesday (April 1).
However, officials say the restriction will only remain lifted if dog owners making sure their canines are kept on a lead at all times and that dog faeces are picked up.
They warn if people fail to keep to these rules, the restriction can be brought back into force with immediate effect.
