The owner of a dog which attacked sheep as they were grazing in Douglas last week has been reported for the matter.
Police have thanked the public for helping them trace the animal and its owner following the incident which happened in fields near to Ballanard Road and Watterson Lane.
Dog owners have once again been reminded to keep their animals under control and to walk them away from livestock during the lambing season.
This is an important time of year for the farming community and any stress caused to sheep can cause them to abort their lambs.
