The Department of Infrastructure says it can't reveal how much money it's been paid for a seabed lease on an offshore wind farm because it's commercially sensitive and could damage investor confidence in the Island.
A Freedom of Information request asked how much the department had been paid by Ørsted since 2015 for the Mooir Vannin project.
In its response the DOI said revealing the information would prejudice the Island's economic and commercial interests.
It says those factors outweigh accountability and public interest arguments.
