    DoI has 'no legal duty' to cut roadside hedges

    It costs over £170,000 a year to maintain the Island’s hedges, footpaths and green lanes.

    However, the Department of Infrastructure says it has no legal duty to cut back the roadside hedges unless there are issues concerning road safety.
