Don't believe the hype over a winter fuel subsidy for Manx residents.
Police and the Island's Cyber Security Centre says they have reports of text messages being sent to people offering help with payments.
They ask people to provide personal information in order to make the payments - but it's a scam aimed at stealing your personal information and money.
The advice is to ignore the messages.
