The Isle of Man Government will spend £1.4 million revamping Douglas town centre in 2018.
The department of infrastructure says the project will get underway on Monday, January 8 next year.
The scheme involves a full reconstruction of Castle Street, modernizing public utilities and installing new lights and street furniture in Douglas.
The work will take place around Senna road and Frederick Street in the Island's capital, and is expected to be completed by October 2018.
