Fire crews were called to a house fire in Braddan in the early hours of this morning.
An off duty Police Officer spotted the fire on Richmond Hill when heading home from her shift, and called 999.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says the owner of the house was outside, clear of the fire, and treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
Crews extinguished the fire in the lounge using thermal image cameras and high pressure hose reels, remaining in attendance for around an hour and a half.
