Breaking dog bylaws in Douglas could be about to get a lot more expensive.
Douglas Council says it's updating its bylaws covering dogs in the Island's capital city.
They limit where dogs can be exercised on beaches and force owners to clear up mess.
The local authority says in future the fines will be levied at the Island's level 3 rates: meaning you could be fined up to £2,000.
The update also defines assistance dogs in law.
