There are plans to create a dedicated health and wellbeing centre for the over 50s in Douglas.
Proposals have been put forward by Age Concern Isle of Man - a local charity helping the older generations on Island remain independent, healthy and socially connected.
The organisation wants to convert the office space at 17-21 Market Street into a hub where those over-50 can have a safe and friendly environment to socialise, whilst also offering access to key information as well as social and learning opportunities.
In it's application, the charity says it would 'support and sustain inclusive access to the capital of the Island by older people, and will help create variety and vitality in the town centre.'
