Dubai plane crash 'may have been hit by turbulence'

A plane which crashed in Dubai - claiming the life of a Manx pilot and three others - may have been hit by turbulence from the wake of another aircraft.

That's according to a report from French investigators, Bureau d'Enquetes et d'Analyses in a statement on their website.

26-year-old William Blackburn from Douglas was among those who died in the incident earlier this month along with two Britons and a South African.

The Diamond DA-62 aircraft came down on May 16 close to Dubai International Airport - the incident is currently being investigated by the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority.
