Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says his department has more important things to do than regulate e-scooters and electric bikes.
During this month's Tynwald sitting, he was asked about new laws governing the machines by Douglas North MHK David Ashford.
Mr Crookall said the department had held a public consultation about the vehicles, and had drafted new laws.
But he said the issue simply isn't a priority at the moment:
