Eastern airways have this morning announced that they will be withdrawing their two routes from the island.
They will cease operating flights from the Isle of Man to Birmingham and Newcastle at the end of this month.
The Birmingham route is still covered by Flybe and the airport are trying to get an airline to take over the Newcastle one.
The collapse of the routes is being put down the current economic downturn.
Some journeys have been operating recently with only a third of the plane filled.
