Students Need 2 C\'s in A-level to Qualify for Financial Backing Under Proposed System
Education and Children Minister Eddie Teare has given 3FM an update on the plans to reform the Island’s student grant system.
The plans aim to raise the minimum standard of grades to gain the financial backing from two A-level D’s to two C’s.
Those on a four-year course may be asked to contribute £1,000 in their final year.
It’s all part of money saving measures currently being implemented across Government.
Minister Teare has said it will be a while yet before the changes are introduced as the School leavers who will be affected will need plenty of time to adjust to the new system.
