Education Minister heralds young sporting talent

The Education and Children Minister has heralded the wealth of young sporting talent on the Island.

Tim Crookall says he was greatly encouraged to see the number of budding sports stars receiving 'Sports Aid Grants' at Thursday's Sports Awards ceremony.

We spoke to St Ninian's pupil Freya Duchars who received a scholarship to help develop her standing as one of the top young hockey players in the UK.

As well as financial assistance with travel costs she will also have access to training and fitness facilities on Island.
