Education Minister Daphne Caine says taking £100,000 from 32 Island primary schools to avoid a £1 million overspend is not a cut.
She faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the money in the House of Key this week.
Mrs Caine said the cash represented less than 0.3 per cent of total primary school budgets.
But she denied the money, part of efforts to avoid a £1 million overspend, was a budget cut:
