Elderly accommodation plan for TT course site 

A company from Braddan has applied to build a residential development for the elderly just off the TT course.

Joyjay Ltd has asked for permission to transform BCS house and a builder's yard on Peel Road near Braddan Bridge.

In its application, the company says the facility would cater for up to 25 people and have a live-in warden.

Drawings show the accommodation would have a grass terrace roof for residents.

Joyjay says it wants to change the use of the land and has asked for permission in principle to build there.

As well as building the accommodation, the company says it would alter the entrance to the site for better road visibility.

There'd also be covered parking for residents and visitors as well as landscaped gardens with water features and acoustic hedging where the site borders the nearby industrial estate.

The company says it would provide a new bus lay-by on the main road.
