Plans have been put forward to install a series of electric vehicle charging points along Douglas Promenade.
Manx Utilities has submitted proposals to install them across Loch Promenade, Central Promenade and Queens Promenade as part of the refurbishment scheme in the area.
MUA says the charging points will be vital to the future electrification of transport to help the Island hit its target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
The organisation adds, if approved, they would be put in place in stages depending on the uptake of electric vehicles and infrastructure will be built below ground during the prom regeneration to rule out the need for further work in future.
