Electric Railway season starts on Saturday

The Electric Railway will start its 2012 service this Saturday at 9.40am from its base on the north end of Douglas Promenade.

The service will stop at a number of locations along the coast of the, such as Groudle, Laxey and Ballaglass, before reaching the end of the line at Ramsey.

The trams return from the northern capital at 11.10am, 12.40pm, 2.40pm and 4.10pm.

Tickets remain the same price as last year and are available on the day from Derby Castle, Laxey and Ramsey stations.

A return trip from Douglas to Laxey still costs just £10 per adult, or free if you have a resident ticket.

Residents’ tickets allow unlimited travel on all scheduled services on the Steam, Manx Electric and Snaefell Mountain Railway for the new season and continue to offer great value for money being priced at £55 per adult and £27.50 per child.

Rail cards are priced at £11 per adult and £5.50 for children.
