End of an era at IoM Newspapers

The printing of Isle of Man Newspapers publications will take place in the UK after this week.

Seven full-time staff are being made redundant and 16 part-time workers will also lose their positions.

The printing will now take place in a Johnston Press site in Sheffield after 19 years producing the three weekly titles at the company’s Peel Road building in Douglas.

Management at the paper says the current printing facilities are no longer fit for service and the company must look to the future.
