    Energy doctor strives to lower bills for winter

    The scheme was launched in the UK in 2002 with the mission statement of helping out vulnerable households.

    With winter drawing in households will be seeing the traditional energy bill increase as the temperatures drop.

    Over the past 3 years Age Concern have provided the services of an Energy Doctor whose job it is to travel to households identifying ways of saving money on their fuel bills.

    Gary Stevens has held the position for the past three years.

    The scheme was launched in the UK in 2002 with the mission statement of helping out vulnerable households.

    The Energy Doctor Service is available to private and public sector householders of all ages in the Isle of Man. One-off home consultations will be arranged by appointment through Age Concern or by emailing energydoctor@ageconcerniom.com.
