A woman from England has been banned from the Isle of Man after hitting her partner with a pool cue.
46-year-old Jayne Mitchell lashed out at the man at the Stanley Hotel in Ramsey on September 18th.
At Douglas Courthouse earlier this week she admitted displaying disorderly behaviour on licensed premises and destroying property.
Police were called to the pub just after 8pm after bar staff witnessed Mitchell smashing the cue against the pool table, breaking it into pieces and striking her partner with them.
Mitchell, who'd been living with the man at a property on Albert Street, also smashed a number of glasses at the same time.
Her advocate blamed 'bubbling' family issues for the outburst adding: "She understands this behaviour was wholly unacceptable."
Magistrates jailed Mitchell for 14 days and excluded her from the Isle of Man for five years.
