Extinction Rebellion Isle of Man is protesting in Douglas this morning.
It comes following a public consultation - which showed 51% of respondents supporting an emissions reduction of 45% or higher by 2030.
However, Tynwald is now proposing regulations with a date half a decade later - 2035.
A spokesperson for group has described the move as a 'disgusting betrayal' which 'makes our Island complicit in the death of our species' only home.'
Protestors will be at the public gallery from 10am.
