It’s the end of an era for Manx currency as two iconic payments lose their legal status later this year.
Treasury has confirmed the green ‘plastic’ £1 note, 50p note and 10 shilling note will cease to be legal tender from the end of October.
The notes will remain legal in the meantime but it’s thought very few people have used these over recent years.
Ten-shilling notes will be redeemed for 50p at any Isle of Man Bank branch.
