The new ferry terminal in Liverpool costs more than £700,000 a year to run.
Department of Infrastructure member Lawrie Hooper gave the figures in Tynwald this week in response to a question from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas.
Mr Thomas asked about the running costs of the new facility and how they were financed.
In his reply, Mr Hooper said the money comes from the DOI's budget:
