    Fewer pupils with grades higher than C

    The percentage of Island pupils who received GCSE grades higher than a C has dropped.

    The figures were released by the Department of Education and Children earlier this week.

    All GCSE entries graded A star to C made up a total of 68.8 per cent - lower than it has been in the past two years.
