Final charges brought against thieving accountant

Final charges have been brought against a former accountant who has pleaded guilty to stealing millions of pounds.

64-year-old Richard Costain admitted stealing over £960,000 from solicitors Stuart Smalley and Co between 2005 and 2014.

He also stole over 35,000 Euros from the same company in September 2011.

The two theft charges mark the culmination of the police investigation against Costain who is currently remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.

He will appear before the Court of General Gaol Delivery today for committal proceedings to take place.
