More than half of cars stopped during the police's final session of winter checks were found to have defects.
At the Grandstand in Douglas last night, Friday, November 14, police set up their last checkpoint as part of Operation Uplift.
A total of thirty-two vehicles were examined, with seventeen having faults such as faulty lights, worn tyres, and a missing wheel nut.
Officers say although it's the end of the checkpoints, patrols will keep carrying out routine car checks over the weekend to finish the three week operation.
