A Douglas woman has been fined after being clocked travelling at almost double the speed limit.
27-year-old Lauren Andrews was doing 56mph in a 30mph zone when she was stopped by police at Rhencullen in Kirk Michael on October 18th.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday she admitted the offence via a coroner's admission - she apologised to the court saying her son had been crying and she was "distracted".
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes fined her £310 and penalised her with six penalty points.
