Firefighters were called out in Douglas city centre last night after a shop caught light.
Fire crews were called out at 11pm when police spotted smoke and fire in Strand Street.
A timber shop sign had caught fire and firefighters quickly tackled the blaze.
Strand Street was closed for a short time while emergency services dealt with the incident.
