Firefighters were called to help out a sinking boat in Douglas on Monday.
Teams were mobilised to the scene alongside North Quay shortly before 6pm and water was then pumped out of the hull of the vessel to allow temporary repairs to take place.
Isle of Man Harbours and Douglas Coastguard - who were also called to the incident - then deployed booms in the harbour to contain the oil spillage.
Crews were in attendance for around one hour.
