The Fire and Rescue Service had a 'tail' with a happy ending yesterday - after it rescued a trapped dog from cliffs in the south of the Island.
Firefighters from Rushen and Douglas were called out at 10am when a dog slipped its lead and fell into a crevice at the Chasms in Cregneash.
Fire crews had to climb down and search caves and ledges until they found the distressed dog around 150 feet down.
He was brought back up in a special harness and reunited with his family - none the worse for his ordeal!
