The Fire Service is highlighting the importance of candle safety as we approach Hop Tu Naa.
People are warned to ensure candles are out of reach of children and pets, to use sturdy, non-flammable candle holders, and not to move it once it's lit.
Further advice includes not burning a candle all the way to the bottom as the heat can cause the container to crack or break, and to always put the flame out before leaving it unattended.
The service says it's really important to be aware of the risks and how to keep you and your family safe.
