Smoke alarms save lives.
That's from the Island's Fire and Rescue Service after they were called out earlier this week.
Just after 2pm on Wednesday - crews were mobilised to a house on Victoria Crescent in Douglas after its owner was alerted by a sounding smoke alarm.
When they arrived, they found a smoke-filled room - and a small fire in a storage cupboard, the cause of the blaze is still to be determined.
Firefighters are urging people to make sure their smoke alarms are property installed and maintained, as they play a 'vital role' in reducing fire deaths and injuries.
