The Manx Basking Shark watch received their first verified sightings of the gentle giants earlier in the week.
The constant changes in the weather will have churned the sea bed up which could impact the potential for more sightings in the immediate future.
Inconsistent weather patterns have been cited as the main reason for a disappointing number of sightings for 2011, with a significant drop on previous years.
The first sightings of this summer season were spotted off Castletown Bay on Tuesday by a fisherman, who claimed to spot 4 or 5 of the sharks.
The Manx Wildlife Trust urge anybody who spots one of the sharks to report and log it on www.manxbaskingsharkwatch.com.
