Beach Buddies will be meeting this weekend for the first cleaning event in the South this year.
The charity, who welcome any new volunteers, will meet at Castletown Bay at 10:30am tomorrow, in the second car park past Hango Hill.
Last week, the Lieutenant Governor and his wife Lady Lorimer joined Beach Buddies at the Lhen, where a total of 150kgs of rubbish were collected.
As many of the items as possible are recycled afterwards, with the remainder going to the Energy From Waste Plant to be turned into free electricity.
