Homelessness audit shows high rate of mental health problems

The Island has published its first ever homelessness audit.

The Department of Health and Social Care and local homeless charity Graih carried out the research together throughout 2015.

It looked at people who sleep rough but also those sofa surfing or in unsuitable, insecure or temporary accommodation.

Griah co-ordinator Michael Manning says the audit is the first time statistics have been produced, relating to homelessness and health, on the Island:
