A fishing boat suffering from mechanical problems was rescued by Douglas Lifeboat on Saturday evening.
The rescue vessel was launched at 8.20pm to go to the aid of the boat which was just off Port Soderick.
Its engine and gearbox mount had broken leaving it unable to make any headway.
Whilst towing the vessel the lifeboat was also diverted to check on two people in a dinghy after a member of the public raised concerns.
However they did not need assistance and the lifeboat was able to continue towing the fishing vessel back into the harbour.
