Five island charities are set to receive a total of £473,000 through the government's Small Grants Scheme.
The aim of the scheme is to help locally registered charities deliver international development projects, with funding given over two years.
The five successful charities are Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, Christian Aid, Excellent Development, Pahar Trust Nepal, and the RNLI.
The government said the charities were chosen as they reflect issues targeted by the scheme.
