Flight makes emergency Island landing

A flight heading from the Island to the UK was forced to make an emergency landing yesterday.

The Loganair service to London City Airport set off just before 1.30pm on Monday but returned to Ronaldsway 30 minutes later due to a cracked windscreen.

The airline says the plane landed safely at around 2pm and none of the 22 passengers or three members of staff on board were injured.

It's also apologised for any inconvenience caused stating the safety of customers is the number one priority - passengers were transferred onto an alternative service.
