The government says it doesn't know how much a report into water fluoridation cost to produce.
A Freedom of Information request to the Cabinet Office asked how much collating the report cost, how many people it took to write.
The report was compiled by public health workers, who considered a range of research into water fluoridation.
In its response, the office said it didn't know how many people had worked on the document or for how long - and added it didn't have a total cost.
However, it said no external contractors or workers had been needed.
