    FOI regime to be extended in 2017

    People on the Isle of Man will be able to make Freedom of Information requests to all government departments from January 1st. 

    The regime was brought in in February and originally applied to the Cabinet Office and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture. 
     
    In that time 77 requests have been made:
     
     
    Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says the roll out, which will be extended across the entire public service by 2018, is a 'further milestone' in development of democracy:
