The company that have ownership of the boat have decided to give people the opportunity to purchase memorabilia still left on the ship.
After many years of fruitless searches for a buyer or a project that would extend its life, the decision has been reached to dismantle the SS Manxman vessel.
It’s a sad end for the boat that served its maiden voyage on a route between Douglas and Liverpool in 1955.
Since it came out of operation in 1982 it had taken on a number of different uses, appearing in TV shows and films aswell as serving as a nightclub in Trafalgar Docks.
